Calling all artists and writers!

PADC invites K-12 students to contribute art and writing to be showcased at our annual MLK Day Celebration!

All contributors will be entered into a raffle to win one of ten $25 gift cards.

THEME:

In a sermon in Memphis, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Let us stand up. Let us be a concerned generation. Let us remain awake through a great revolution." What does this quote mean to you?

HOW TO SUBMIT:

You can submit your work here or drop it off at your school (Wildwood, Beach, Havens, PMS, MHS or PHS) If you are dropping off, please download and fill out this form and then attach it to the back of your work.


* Submit a piece of 2-D art, photo, essay, or poem in response to this year's theme. 

* Artwork can be of any medium but must be flat, scannable, and no larger than 8.5" x 11" inches. 

* Essays should be no more than 500 words. Poetry should be no more than two pages.

Submit your best work! One piece of art and one poem or essay per student will be showcased and entered into the raffle.

Martin Luther King, Jr called for a community that is inclusive, caring, and equitable — one that doesn’t have hate or racism. Artists were asked to respond to Dr. King’s quote by answering the question - How can we create an inclusive and beloved community in Piedmont?
